At Game Costumes Shop, we’re passionate about helping you bring your favorite characters to life. We understand that sometimes a costume might not fit perfectly or meet your expectations for your next convention, cosplay event, or themed party. That’s why we’ve created a straightforward returns and exchanges process to ensure your complete satisfaction.

Whether you’re preparing for Comic-Con, a gaming tournament, or any cosplay event, we want you to feel confident in your purchase from our extensive collection of character costumes.

Return & Exchange Eligibility

We Accept Returns & Exchanges For:

  • Items in original condition with all tags attached
  • Unworn, unwashed, and undamaged costumes
  • Items returned within 15 days of delivery
  • Products with manufacturing defects or errors in your order

Non-Returnable Items:

Based on our product offerings and the nature of cosplay items, the following cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Custom-made or altered costumes – Many of our costumes from series like Assassin’s Creed or specialty items may involve custom work
  • Opened or used costume accessories that affect their resale value
  • Items purchased during special sales or clearance events (unless defective)
  • Costumes from horror collections (like Annabelle or A Nightmare on Elm Street) if the packaging has been opened, due to the specialized nature of these items

Return Process – Step by Step

Step 1: Submit Your Return Request

Within 15 days of receiving your order, email our support team at [email protected] with the following information:

  • Your order number
  • Item(s) you wish to return or exchange
  • Reason for return
  • Whether you prefer an exchange or refund

Step 2: Receive Return Authorization

Within 2 business days, we’ll email you a Return Authorization Number and shipping instructions. Do not send items without this authorization as we cannot process unauthorized returns.

Step 3: Package and Ship Your Return

Please include:

  • All original packaging and tags
  • The Return Authorization Number clearly visible on the outside of the package
  • A copy of your original invoice or packing slip

Note: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.

Step 4: Processing Your Return

Once we receive your return, we’ll inspect it within 3-5 business days and process accordingly:

  • Exchanges: We’ll ship your replacement item using your original shipping method
  • Refunds: We’ll issue your refund to the original payment method

Refund Timeline & Methods

Refund Processing Time:

  • Once we receive and approve your return, refunds are processed within 3-5 business days
  • The timing of when you’ll see the refund in your account depends on your payment method:

Refund Methods:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): 5-10 business days to appear on your statement
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days to appear in your PayPal account

Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable for changed mind returns. For defective or incorrect items, we’ll refund the original shipping costs as well.

Exchange Policy

We happily accept exchanges for size or style within 15 days of delivery, provided the items are in original condition. If the item you want to exchange for is out of stock, we’ll issue a store credit or refund based on your preference.

For international customers outside the US, please note that exchange shipping costs may apply. We recommend considering this when deciding between exchange and refund.
